Poor guy ended up with a double ear infection. We just thought he was playing his "OH NO!" game where he puts his hands to his head any time he hears OH NO! (think Home Alone). Since he also had a runny nose and teeth trying to pop through we decided that we'd better be safe than sorry and went to the doc.
As if all that was not enough, while playing ball with mommy he tried to grab for the ball, but it just kept rolling on the hard wood floors and BAM...face plant! He landed right on his 2 front teeth...blood...screams...tears...fat lip and when I say fat lip I mean FAT lip!
A few days have passed and everything is getting back to normal. The fat lip is gone, the ear grabbing really is the "oh no!" game, but we are still waiting on the teeth.
BREAKING NEWS...
Last night, Joaquin Orquiola was standing up holding onto the couch when not realizing it let go and tried to take his first step! It did end up in a belly flop on the floor, but his first solo step was taken! YAY BUDDY!!!! He will be running around with his cousins in no time! Stay tuned....

It sounds to me like Joaquin's parents need to be a little more attentive when minding him. Bloody lip? Ear infection going on for weeks? Please do not make me report you to social services. It will not be pretty. However, I do wish you hearty congratulations as the boy slowly becomes bipedal.Hopefuly, you will be more vigilant when this finally happens. Please try as we love that kid very much! A sidebar: So it seems no one is reading these things or no one wants to comment after all of your hard work sounding out words and making complete sentences.I will do my best to pick up the world's slack. It will be your wedding blog all over again. For those of you lurking around, don't be scurrrred!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a sad state when I have to sound out all these words to form full paragraphs and it is like a ghost town in here. As I read Auntie Di's post I can hear the echo. It is very sad. Hopefully, Joaquin's feelings will not be hurt when he looks back on the chronicles of his life and sees no one cared to comment except for Auntie Di...
